 THE SOIL 

The Château de Malleprat counts among the 68 Castles of Pessac-Léognan name. Located on the very old territory of Graves “the cradle of the high-class wines of Bordeaux”, Pessac-Léognan name extends on 10 communes.
The ground of this great wine area is occupies mainly by the rubbel's terraces with calcareous basement. The whole of the vineyard profits from a climate moderated by the presence of the river.

   
TYPE OF VINES

The red wines of Pessac-Léognan name are mainly dominated by the cabernet sauvignon associated the merlot, the white by the white sauvignon and the semillon.

The surface of the Château de Malleprat is 35 hectares including 15 hectares of vines distributed between 11 hectares of reds and 4 hectares white.

Encépagement for the reds is composed of 50% from Sauvignon Cabernet, 40% of Merlot, 5% of Frank Cabernet and 5% of Small-Verdot.

For the white the distribution is done between 45% from Semillon, 35% of white Sauvignon and 20% of Muscadelle.
